This is a high performance Gigabit copper switch. It enables an easy upgrade of an existing network to a transfer rate of 1000 MBit/s at (Cat.5). Just works, can't fault it.
does get a little hot but so does every other similar switch I've used.

I needed a small, reliable and fast switch to network all my NAS devices, internet and various computers and laptops. This fits that bill perfectly. It goes without saying that to achieve Gigabit speeds your device (pc, NAS etc) must have a Gigabit port or else it will default to 100mbs which is painfully slow.
Not much else to say, I recommend it!
